Ball Pressure Tester HTE-006
Ball Pressure Tester is used for testing the heat resistance of the electrical enclosure and external parts which are made up with the insulating materials.
It is applicable to electrotechnical equipment and its subassemblies and components.
It is also used for solid electrical insulating materials except ceramics.
In this test, a conditioned specimen is placed on a preheated support and subjected to a force of 20N applied through a 5mm steel ball. The test stand, specimen and loading device are then kept in an oven at an elevated temperature for an hour.
After the hour, the loading device is removed from the sample, the sample is cooled and any indentation is measured. It is important to assure that the test stand has reached a stable elevated temperature as required by the test.
Note: The ball pressure tester also needs a high temperature box (oven) to be used

Test Principle
1.The ball pressure test is to press the copper ball (R25mm) and the ball pressure tester with a total test of 20N02N on the surface of the test product in a horizontal state and placed in a heating box,After 60min+2min/0min at the specified temperature of the sample, quickly (<10s) immerse the sample in 20C5C water to cool for 6min.
2.Take it out of the water and measure the diameter of the indentation on the surface of the sample within 3min, depending on whether the diameter of the indentation exceeds 2mm Evaluate the heat deformation resistance of the test sample at the specified temperature.
Test Method
1. According to the test requirements, first put the ball pressure test device in the heating box for a long enough time to ensure that the ball pressure test device has reached a stable test temperature before the test starts.
2. Place the test part on the support base so that it is in direct contact with the support base.
3. Place the surface of the test part in a horizontal position and press the steel ball against the surface. The test is carried out in a heating chamber at the temperature specified by the standard.
4. After the test reaches the time specified in the standard, remove the ball from the sample, and after cooling according to the requirements specified in the standard, measure the diameter of the indentation of the steel ball to determine whether it is qualified.
